Gerard is a seasoned investor with a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a financial foundation that shapes how he analyzes opportunities, manages risk, and measures long-term performance. With nearly two decades of real estate investing behind him, he approaches every opportunity with an investor-first mindset built at the intersection of:
Gerard's background includes nine years of construction project management and six years in mortgage finance: a true full-cycle understanding of real estate. From assessing construction quality to navigating lending requirements, he brings clarity to every step, from qualifying to closing.
After working across multiple sides of the industry, Gerard recognized a gap: most agents focus on transactions rather than strategy. Texas Portfolio Realty was built to change that by helping clients start, scale, and exit their investment portfolios with intention and confidence.
Outside of business, Gerard is deeply rooted in family and faith. He values building a secure future and understands why smart, intentional investing matters for the next generation, a perspective that guides his approach to serving and supporting his clients.

Janel is a native Texan, business owner, and seasoned investor. She is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Texas Portfolio Realty. She earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing, followed by a Master's in Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University, giving her a rare blend of strategic leadership, operational insight, and people-centered expertise.
For more than 17 years, Janel has owned and operated a successful staffing company, leading teams, building systems, and developing leaders. She purchased her first real estate property in 2009, igniting a long-standing passion for wealth building and portfolio strategy. Her hands-on background in construction, building, and design pairs with her business acumen to evaluate properties with a sharp eye for quality and long-term value.
As COO, Janel ensures every client experience is executed with precision and care. Her experience as an entrepreneur and team leader gives her a deep understanding of the operational demands investors face, enabling her to build systems that support both clients and agents at the highest level.
